Dorie will also advocate for rigorous oversight to ensure every tax dollar is spent wisely and effectively, prioritizing investments that directly benefit students and classrooms.

ABOUT ME

Meet Dorie

Dorie Simmons, a lifelong Oklahoman and University of Tulsa graduate, is a proud parent of three Tulsa Public Schools graduates and the candidate with firsthand experience as a TPS parent. As a single mother, she utilized programs like food stamps, housing assistance, and CAP Tulsa's home savings program to build a stable home for her family. With her children attending schools across District 3, Dorie gained invaluable insight into the challenges students, families, and educators face. Her dedication to education and community is evident in her roles as a basketball mom, active volunteer, and supporter of Edison’s ROTC program. She brings this perseverance and commitment to her leadership, striving to uplift all students and families in the district.
